An Elk Grove Man was busted for marijuana possession early Saturday night after he was impeding traffic.
According to Elk Grove Police reports, 21-year-old Antonio Tirapelli was contacted while seated in the front seat of a car that was parked and impeding traffic near Grove and Kent Streets. Upon contact officers detected the strong odor of marijuana emanating from the car's interior.
Officers observed a large Ziploc bag of marijuana inside the vehicle on the rear passenger floorboard. The suspect was detained and a search of vehicle led to the discovery of additional marijuana.
Tirapelli was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
