Meat clever murderer
sentenced to life plus 7

Sacramento D.A. Jan Scully announced today that the Honorable Judge Russell Hom sentenced Lalesh Kumar to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus seven years and four months.

In June 2005, Kumar murdered Virginia Pulido and her three year-old son Ramiro Pulido with the use of a meat cleaver and assaulted two Sacramento police officers during his arrest and apprehension.

Deputy District Attorney Dawn Bladet said, “This sentence assures the community will be protected from this dangerous individual who will remain in prison for the rest of his life.”
