EG Police make
two dope arrests

Elk Grove Police made two narcotics related arrests on Monday.

In the first incident police contacted 48-year old Juan Arias early Monday morning as he was seen attempting to discard an unknown item through a cyclone fence. Officers contact the suspect and retrieved the item which was found to be a glass smoking pipe used in the consumption of meth and a white crystalline like substance.

A test revealed the substance to be meth and a records search found the suspect to have an active warrant from 2006. Arias was arrested and transferred to the county jail.

Police also arrested 29-year old Michael Adams near the Elk Grove Promenade shopping center after police observed him taking his vehicle off the roadway. Upon contact officers found the suspect to be on a suspended license.

The suspect reportedly consented to a vehicle search where officers discovered meth. Adams admitted to possession of the narcotics and was arrested.
