Armed robbers in ski masks were apprehended by Elk Grove Police following a early morning armed robbery.
Ski masks and a handgun
According to police reports, three victims were walking near Disa Alpine and Sheldon Creek Drive early Friday morning when they were confronted by two people with ski masks and armed with a handgun. Two of the victims were struck in the head and had their personal property stolen.
The suspect left the area in a silver or black Honda type vehicle. The victims were treated at local hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.
At approximately 3:25AM officers located a vehicle fitting the description on the 9000 block of Vicino Drive. Officers detained three suspects and conducted a vehicle search that unveiled a loaded handgun, the stolen property and ski mask.
Officers arrested 21-year old Estevan Martinez, 21-year old John Costa, both of Sacramento and 19-year old Courtney Donovan of Elk Grove. Donavan was the driver of the car. All three were transferred to the county jail.
