EG Police Arrest Home Burglar, Intervene in Business Partners’ Dispute

Among the five major incidents reported yesterday by the Elk Grove Police were the arrest of a home burglar and intervening in a dispute between two business partners.

According to police reports, officers responding to an in-progress burglary on the 8200 block of Sheldon Place Drive and witnessed 19-year old Dontae Lawrence of Sacramento entering a locked residence through a bedroom window. After being spotted, the suspect fled the scene.

Following a short foot pursuit, officers were able to apprehend and arrest Lawrence. The suspect was transferred to the county jail.

Partners feud

In other activity, officers intervened in a dispute between Elk Grove business partners Richard Tucker and David Nubla.

Following a verbal dispute, Tucker told officers that Nubla went in his house and exited with an unspecified firearm. Tucker fled the area and called the police.

Responding officers located Nubla in a vehicle and initiated a vehicle enforcement stop. After detaining Nubla, offices were unable to locate the firearm.

Nubla was placed under citizen’s arrest by Tucker, issued a citation and released.
